Boulder Mountain Ranch

Nestled between the Grand Staircase, Escalante and the Boulder Mountain is Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch. Our lodge and cabins are located on 148 acres of breathtaking views overlooking the Grand Staircase. Our property is surrounded by the Dixie National Forest, which gives you a sense of beauty and wonder in a secluded area. This peaceful Ranch can be found in Salt Gulch on the Hell's Backbone road 3.5 miles west of Utah's Highway 12. We are just 7 miles from the tiny town of Boulder, Utah and very close to Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks, the Anasazi Indian State Park and the famous Burr Trail.

Come and enjoy the natural beauty and relax at our rustic cabins or in our lodge. If you want adventure you have come to the right place. Horseback riding is offered just a few feet away at Boulder Mountain Ranch and Trail. Hiking (to a waterfall) and fishing can be done right from our property or you can venture to the surrounding areas. There are numerous hikes to waterfalls, petroglyphs and pictographs, and down long narrow canyons. Whatever you fancy…spend some time with us where the air is clean and the stars are bright.

In the lodge we have a beautiful main room where you can relax and read a book socialize and use our game table or mingle with other guests.

Cabin # 2 Queen bed and a bunk bed with private bathroom. Amenities are a microwave, coffee pot and fire pit with a grill. (sleeps 4)

Cabin #3 King bed and four twin beds in upper loft with private bathroom. Amenities are a microwave, coffee pot, toaster and fire pit with a grill. (sleeps 6)

Queen rooms = $75 plus tax
Bunk rooms = $65 plus tax
Cabin 1 and 2 = $85 plus tax
Cabin 3 = $105 plus tax

Dining
There is no food service at the Ranch at this time (coming soon). There are several great restaurants in the town of Boulder: Hell’s Backbone Grill, Burr Trail Grill and Boulder Mesa Grill. You can pick up limited food supplies in Boulder. Grocery stores are located in Escalante and Loa.

Activities
Activities in the area include horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, world class fly fishing and canyoneering. Go to www.boulderutah.com for more information.

New for 2008
We are excited to announce that we will be making some beautiful improvements to the lodge and cabins this year. This will include adding refrigerators and grills to all the cabins, replacing furniture throughout the lodge and much, much more. Don’t worry there will be no construction that will disrupt the peace and tranquility of your stay.

In addition to the improvements, we will be adding the Original Trade Goods Outpost market that will supply guest with all their needs. We will also soon offer full food service through Mamacita’s Kitchen in the lodge where we will be baking amazing breads, pizzas and fresh granola from our new hearth oven.
