Kodachrome Basin turned out to be a beautiful little place, with a few very nice hikes. It’s off Highway 12 in Cannonville, about 12 miles down the road. There’s camping/rv spots, but we did a day hike and then went to Tropic had dinner at Pioneer Village restaurant and listened to the talented Raymond King Shurtz play music for several hours.
The hike was relatively easy, though the trail said easy to moderate, although there were a few spots where it was a push up or down for 8 or 10 steps. We took the trail to Shakespeare Arch (photo below) and it looped around and came out right where we came in. All in the hike took an hour and a half and had some amazing views of the basin.
