Amy O. Woodbury, local painter

In 1974, while a Modern Dance major at the “U” in Salt Lake, I hitchhiked down to Boulder with two friends. It was quiet, hot, rigorous and it resonated, the terrain containing a subtext which I sense to this day.The art I make here is, essentially, whatever comes to mind: fantasy figures, imaginary horizons, abstracts, all of which grant me the ability to respond in a way that is more engaging, more fluid, while also acknowledging that which is intrinsic (that subtext, again): movement, narrative, space, texture, random disarray, color. My work is on display at the Burr Trail Outpost.  I also have a website, and a Facebook page. Thanks for looking.
